Having three rivers, Ilam province is set to develop eco-tourism, says the provincial head of Handicraft and Tourism Organization. Talking to ISNA, Abdolmaalek Shanbeh Zadeh added that "Simareh" and "Kashkan" Rivers create the bases for major tourism projects. He reiterated that eco-tourism and specifically rafting on these two rivers can attract a lot of domestic and foreign tourists.
The head of Provincial Organization for Tourism and Handicrafts in Ilaam expressed the government readiness to accept private sector’s proposals for such tourism projects on the rivers in the province.
Inviting the National Rafting Society to inspect the rivers in the province and come up with development projects, Shanbeh Zadeh reiterated that the governer's house is completely ready to cooperate with the private sector and grant permissions for quick tourism projects on the rivers in Ilaam province.Enjoying a virgin nature, Ilaam is Iran’s Western Province neighboring Iraq which can attract huge numbers of eco-tourism fans.
