“American citizens currently face no ban for travelling to Iran and can apply for a visa without any problem”, the president of Iran Tour Operators' Association said.
Ebrahim Pourfaraj also told ISNA that visas are issued for American nationals like before with no extra requirements. In fact, things have even gotten easier.
"Visas are now issued in two weeks, down from one month," he said. "This is great for American tourists."

Tehran says citizens of the United States, Canada and Britain can apply for group visas at Iranian embassies in their respective countries.
Based on current regulations American tourists are obliged to have a certified tour guide accompanying them on their travels to Iran.
